Scout Plan to Eagle

The Leaders and parents of Troop 511 are dedicated to helping our boys work towards Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program. Although nationally only 4% of Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, a significantly higher percentage of Scouts enrolled in Troop 511 have earned this honor. Our troop proudly recognizes 59 Eagle Scouts among our alumni.

Scout Plan to Eagle

Year One:

• earn Scout + Tenderfoot ranks
• attend Summer Camp - attend Trailblazer, earn 2 MBs
• attend Merit Badge University - earn 3 MBs

Year Two:

• earn First Class rank
• attend Summer Camp - earn Swimming MB, Environmental Science MB + one other MB
• attend Merit Badge University - earn 3 MBs
• earn Family Life MB, First Aid MB

Year Three:

• earn Star rank
• attend Summer Camp - earn Personal Fitness MB, Camping MB, + one other MB
• attend Merit Badge University - earn 3 MBs
• attend Eagle Week - earn Citizenship in the World MB, Citizenship in the Nation MB, Communications MB

Year Four:

• earn Life rank
• attend Summer Camp - earn 3 MBs
• attend Merit Badge University - earn 3 MBs
• attend Eagle Week - earn Citizenship in the Community MB, Emergency Preparedness MB, Personal Management MB

Year Five:

• attend Summer Camp - earn 3 MBs
• attend Merit Badge University - earn 3 MBs
• create and complete Eagle Project
